Review of Brainscan (1994) by Lafe F — 06 Jul 2007
A movie about a killer video game! But the game doesn't kill the people who play it... The game actually has those who play it become the killer, except they don't know that they're really out there killing real people.
Edward Furlong (Terminator 2) receives a CD copy of the new "Brainscan" game and soon becomes embroiled in local murdrers because of it. The on-screen personality behind the game is "The Trickster", a demonic rocker.
Edward Furlong must fend off the police investigator (led by Frank Langella) and find a way to defeat the game. It's a great movie for video gamers and horror movie fans. I really got into the tragic and horrific circumstances.
The story was quite innovative as well. The ending made the movie even better.
