A difficult doco to give a proper rating for because I don't think that different sides to this story mesh as well as hoped. The surfing scenes are awe-inspiring and gorgeous. The story about the Abbertons however wasn't as engrossing as I had hoped.
Notorious Surf Gang? Perhaps you need to be an Aussie to truly appreciate the surroundings and hardships that these brothers said they had.
If anything it goes to show the tight communities that grow out of hardship and antagonism.
Self-serving and self-surfing.
