A major breakthrough for the actors in this film Cuba Gooding Jnr and Ice Cube, and John Singletons first major picture. Aghetto film based in the bronx quite a sad film around the lives and upbringing of 3 young American teens one struggling with love and the world of his father, the other a gang member whom is thought of as a no gooder and the other a rising athlete with the world at his feet.
This film also follows the parents and how they raise thier siblings, the single mother (Angela Bassett)raising her two boys and the single father (Laurence Fishbourne). A story of Violence and gangs with gritty storyline.
Well directed and written loved this film.
