Review of Boyz n the Hood (1991) by Kenny G — 03 Mar 2013
This isn't a movie about crime, but rather growing up with crime and thug-like mentality all around you. Like a great novel to analyze in school, this movie shows off many deep human elements such as rationalizing a god, gentrification, and the degradation of women.
This movie is quaint, simple, yet very real. Definitely recommended.
