Review of Boyz n the Hood (1991) by Cierra C — 01 Feb 2009
I really must say as a metal head, I loved this movie. It's so incredibly deep and yet it has a raw nerve towards those that have it rough living in the L.A. Sub-Urbs. I mean, the fact that I originally watched it on MMM at like 1:00 AM, did not move from the couch even during commercial breaks (partial thanks to my cat on that one for sleeping on my lap) and could not look away, damn, that's definitely something right there.
There's violence to be found in this movie and plenty of death for those interested. A definite must watch for anyone who's got a taste for old school gangsta rap or just likes this kind of thing.
Just an extraordinary film.
