Review of Boyz n the Hood (1991) by Annamaria W — 18 Aug 2009

This is one of the best movie of all time. I starts when Tre Styles (Cuba Gooding Jr) gets in a fight at school with a kid and he is froced by his mother to go live with his father in South Central Los Angleles.

Later that week his friend Doughboy( Ice Cube) was sented to jail for 8 years for stealing candy from a store. Now it is 1991 everyone is in the teens. So they all want to go to a night dance on friday. It is friday and eveyone is there. The bloods push Ricky (Morries Chestnut and Doughboy pulled out his gun and start trash talking and they back off. Secounds later the Bloods pulls their guns out and they fried at them.This began a gang war.

The next day Ricky got a phone called from the college L.S.U. and they want him to play football for them. He was so happy. A week later Ricky's mom (Tyra Frrell) was making breakfast and they didn't have milk and he goes to the store with Tre. They are coming back and they saw the Bloods from that dance night and they begin to run. The Bloods had a clear shot of Ricky. They shoot him and Tre runs to tell Doughboy and they all went in the 6-4 lowrider. Doughboy picked up his body and took him home and everybody is crying and mad and they deside to find and kill the Bloods.

It's night time and they begin to look for them. They go to Compton,Whatts,South Central and Los angleles and there was no sign of them. Tre gets out of the car and they went to resturant to eat. They find them there and they did a drive by shooting. Three Bloods were kllied . The next week has passes and they all die besides Doughboy and Tre. The very next day Doughboy saw Ricky get buried and the next week Doughboy died by a drive-by and the only guy left is Tre. He was the smart one out of all of them. In the fall he went to college.

I like this movie because it shows how the poeple of the Ghetto live. This movie makes me feel sad and happy in the end beause everyone gets killed and Tre goes to College.
