CLASSIC. Not just for minorities growing up in the city, I believe anybody can appreciate this movie about a group of friends who grow up together and though take separate paths, still maintain their friendships and stay true to their roots.
Ice Cube and Cuba Gooding Jr. are now Hollywood superstars, and this movie is what truly propelled them into the industry. The movie centers around gang violence, broken households, and disadvantaged minorities in a Los Angeles neighborhood.
Be prepared to get a reality check if you haven't seen this movie or others like it, such as Menace II Society, South Central, etc.
