Heart breaking true story. Gender identity issues are very difficult (including me) for people to empathize with, and I think this movie does a good job of bringing the issue to the forefront. Hillary Swank is unbelievable as the lead and the last 15 minutes or so are very difficult to watch.
I guess my only problem would be Peter Sarsgaard as the "bad guy". I've seen him in so many other things now, it was hard for me to buy him as the hillbilly crazy guy...although he did a fairly decent job.
