Review of Boys Don't Cry (1999) by Matt T — 12 Oct 2008
Hilary Swank is a dominating force in this dark and hard hitting film about sexual identity and the crisis of a young girl. One of the heaviest films I have ever seen. It will leave a bad ache in your stomach and add pity into your thoughts for mankind.
This is one of those movies about a true story in a small town where everything went spinning radically out of control and you can't imagine it really happened by the time it's over. Not for the faint of heart.
