Review of Boyhood (2014) by Zachary G — 28 Feb 2015
I definitely think this movie was miles ahead of Birdman. Although I was impressed with Birdman's continuous camera, this movie is still more impressive, and a lot more enjoyable to watch. I felt connected to the lives in this film much more than most films, to both the father, and the boy, and just to life in general.
Definitely insightful and "deep" like other linklater movies, but I feel this one takes the cake. Patricia earned her Oscar, but I feel like this film deserved a lot more from the Academy, which is just a load of bull anyways.
