Review of Boyhood (2014) by Paul O — 23 May 2015

Enjoyed this movie but sometimes it was hard to understand that time had passed until they were well into the scene. I thought it was an amazing idea to film a movie this way and was very interesting to see how much he changed as he grew up.

If it wasn't for his hairstyles though I wouldn't have known time had passed. I didn't even realize his friend girl was a year older than he was until the end of the movie. Thought they did an EXCELLENT job of showing what it's really like being a teenager and the real struggles they go through as opposed to the perfect families we usually see represented on TV and movies.
