Review of Boyhood (2014) by Louise D — 28 May 2015
Very clever, and very pleasurable, in making you feel intimately acquainted with the characters. Letting them go at the end is a wonderful, painful evocation of the mother's empty nest. "I just thought there would be more" indeed.
All the leads are good, but Patricia Arquette is particularly excellent as a woman growing in herself and as a parent.
