Review of Boyhood (2014) by Tony R — 19 Jun 2015
Epic, intimate, exquisite, emotional, enjoyable, evocative. So much to take away from this quiet, carefully understated film that, regardless of the incredible 12 years of filming, is an emotional coming of age movie in modern society.
As with the greatest films, each person will bring something else into this film and take away something different. For me, after several months, I still recall certain scenes and moments as if I'd only watched it last night.
You need to invest in the film, but your return will pay back long, long after you stop watching.
