The fact this was filmed over a 12 year period is a truly stunning cinematic achievement and epic in the technical filmmaking scope of it. Ethan Hawke and Patricia Arquette's performances are absolutely brilliant and the directing by Richard Linklater is truly something special.
the editing is obviously brilliant and flows perfectly well. Boyhood is a stunning cinematic achievement that effortlessly studies the human condition and the life of an average boy. a truly amazing film.
