Review of Boyhood (2014) by Joan Pau R — 26 Jun 2015
The plot is not too linear or dramatic but that is not the point. What in other movies is constrained, here develops naturally, with a disconcerting lived quality. Superficially the film is about growing up, or about barely functional American families in the last decade.
More deeply, it is about how time permeates life. Unique.
