This was obviously a very ambitious picture. 12 years to make, wow. It sometimes felt like 12 years to watch. This should be taken mostly in a good way. I did not like that their are some storylines that are not fulfilled, but I think this was a deliberate choice.
Unlike movies, life doesn't have all the stories wrapped up for you. It was a very fascinating examination in the life of a boy. Notable moments: Mason staring in the sky, waiting for his mom. Dad taking Mason and Mason's sister bowling.
