Richard Linklater made a film with "Boyhood" that is genuinely revolutionary. He and his cast challenged the way a movie can be made, and that accomplishment makes the movie worth experiencing.

But the story is - similar to the central figure - increasingly unfocused as it moves toward the conclusion, which ultimately made me start to wonder myself where this three-hour trip was going to take me.
