Review of Boy Erased (2018) by Lance Rafael R — 10 Nov 2018
The movie has everything in it. A compelling plot, complex characters, and terrific actors. Everything about this movie is just awestrucking and all scenes within it truly hits you in your soul. I have not cried in a movie for ages, but this film just brings out the waterworks and my eyes end up tear soaked after the movie.
It addressed a really important issue that is lessened but is prevalent today. Outside beyond the theatre screen, countless young people are experiencing what I was seeing and it just made me want to fly somewhere and stop it from happening.
The movie had substance and it has style, terrific acting, tear-jerking story and at the end I am so glad that I've seen. I truly loved it. 10/10.
