Stellar cast and genuine performances from all, down to the minor characters at the conversion therapy camp who show their own unique journeys. Witnessing the counselor's approach tears at the heart - even though they believe what they're doing is right, it couldn't be more hurtful.
The film's greatest strength is the empathy you feel while watching Jared navigate his family life, and learn who he wants to be. Like the memoir, it shows his kindness and strength. Would highly recommend.
