Great actors, bad script, bad direction. This movie falls flat, you do not see fully realized emotions. Having been a boy erased it was emotional but only because I remembered the emotion, I didn't see it.

It was like looking at something interesting through muted lenses. There was one moment...when they boy went for a run and threw a rock at a poster...that moment got close, not close enough but close.

Those who lived this experience will all walk away saying, "Gosh I wish it had been that easy for me..." This story needs to be told, straight america needs to see the torment that LGBT people often feel as we realize we are excluded by their bigotry.
