MIFF '08: The casting of Jack was spot on - I liked him from the very first scene and thought it was good that they left it ambiguous as to the level of his involvement in the murder. Thank God they didn't have him flip out and return to jail or anything (it looked like it was going that way, and frankly, I've seen that done before).
Luckily, they took things in another direction and the ending was nothing short of tragic. Great film - I really want to read the book it was based on now.
