Review of Boy A (2008) by Eric M — 22 Aug 2008
A bit surreal, and although I like the second chance theme, the story was beyond improbable. I am ultimately dismayed that it wasn't possible for Jack to have the second chance he worked so hard to get, which begs the question-- is it ever possible? The love story was drawn out beyond proportion, and the last interchange was, as Ebert wrote, contrived, but I felt that it was more of a daydream about making an amends than an actual interaction.
