Reminds us of Kevin Bacon in "The Woodsman" with the same theme, a terrible event in the past is haunting the main character and people around him have a hard time accepting the truth. A little overplayed at times in Boy A, but this one also speaks of issues coming up due to a father favorizing a troubled kid before his own son.
