Review of Boy A (2008) by Julian T — 23 Jul 2010
Andrew Garfield is a terrific vehicle to guide this story. However, he isn't able to accelerate the story to the needed speed. This film does a really good job of questioning morality without being in your face.
But Garfield's casting and characterization of the titular role shows that the filmmakers have a very clear point of view that they weren't trying to disguise. Garfield brings a lot of charisma, heart, and endearing qualities to Boy A (the character and film).
