Review of Boy A (2008) by Jonathan B — 05 Dec 2010
Boy A can be summed up in one word: haunting. Andrew Garfield turns in one heck of a debut performance, as he struggles to make amends for past demons and live a "normal" life. It has an interesting narrative structure and natural style, and I don't want to give too much away but it doesn't exactly go where you think it will.
The fact it's inspired by real events makes it all the more heartbreaking. Rest assured, Spider-Man fans, the franchise is in very capable hands.
