Review of Boy A (2008) by Richard B — 25 Dec 2010
I had wanted to see this film for a while now, but never got around to it as I kept moving other movies above it on my list, but it was worth the wait. Boy A is very good film even though it is a little sad and depressing at times; you really feel bad for the main character but you are conflicted about it.
Andrew Garfield gives a great career making performance and after The Social Network he has really shown that he is a top-notch talent and I am curious to see how he does in the update of Spiderman. Boy A is a very believable film that has some great characters, but it's Garfield who carries this film and makes it what it is.
Overall a very solid film that will make you think and feel for this character.
