Review of Boy A (2008) by Luis B — 01 Feb 2011
It was....ok. I don't know, maybe I watched it in a wrong mindset because there really is nothing wrong with it, it's just that I think it failed to convey that feeling to me. The movie as a whole is a social study of the main character who was just released from prison.
Rather then focus on his crime we spend most of the movie just following him around as he tries to mold back in with society. Your gonna need the subtitles on because the British accents are strong. The movie does capture the feeling of bleak hopefulness and an undo sense of paranoia.
I don't know if I would recommend it or not.
