Review of Boxing Helena (1993) by Am?S E — 17 Aug 2018
This is a brilliant movie. The symbolism, the skillful portrayal of the nature of male obsession as well as toxic femininity, the use of music, and the freudian explorations make this a film that will resonate deeply with anyone who has been on either side of an unrequited love situation.
I particularly appreciate how instructive it is on the differences between love and lust.
