Review of Box of Moonlight (1996) by Arwin K — 30 Jul 2014
This wonderful flick is a necessity for anyone who experiences the fear of getting old, being too much of a conformist and feels like life holds no more new surprises. Sam Rockwell plays a disarming naive youngster that makes stiff ol' by the book Al Fountain (Turturro) take a breath and offers a second more simple view on life.
This hugely underrated, overlooked and forgotten before ever discovered movie is wonderful in every way. It is great entertainment for young teenagers and the more subtle hidden jokes offer an added layer for adults.
What's done is done, time goes by, it cannot be stopped and after watching it you won't try so hard to do so.
