Review of Bowling for Columbine (2002) by Alexandra P — 23 Mar 2010
I thought that this movie set out a good point. It might be offensive to people, but to me it's the ugly truth. People in the US have always been scared. The people here are very ignorant. They believe everything that they hear.
It's true that people have to be cautious about things, but sometimes they go too far. Having a gun doesn't protect you from everything. It's not right to just kill a person because they "Disrespected" you.
The 2 kids who did the shooting at Columbine were probably very troubled at school and had problems at home. I think that this doing of theirs was caused because in their minds they thought they could get rid of everything by just killing.
To me, the US gives out a wrong example, when they attack a country that has just threaten them. Right away, America pulls out their guns! That just tells people, "The way to get rid of a problem is just by shooting them.
".
