Review of Bowling for Columbine (2002) by Rodney E — 31 Jan 2013
This is a good, convincing film and it can definitely considered an eye-opener. My main gripe with this film and all of Moore's films is the way in which he presents the argument and the way in which the audience eats it up. I am not one of those retarded right wing people who claim he pours lies into our minds and I understand that the way in which the film is presented is necessary for it to be a successful film. However I do not agree with the blinkered arguments that the film creates and are heard regurgitated by those who don't feel the need to form their own opinions. This may just be the side of me that needs coherent and fair arguments to appreciate a point.
This film is no doubt one that needed to be made, but the arguments as in all of Moore's work are too bias for my liking. He's right but doesn't have to be a dick about it.
