Review of Bowling for Columbine (2002) by Maggie S — 10 Nov 2009
Ive never been a fan of Michael Moore so didn't watch this til just recently and it was better than I expected but this wasn't a home run like most people say. First off its a documentary so it has to have a topic or story behind it and the topic behind this one is a really good one so that shoots it up to 40% because its so revealing and really shows a good purpose and most people will learn something they did not know before.
Second good thing is its actually funny. Yeah I couldn't believe it some of the shots like the animated one about American history truly made me laugh so that boosts it up 30%. The only problem is thats all I can say for this movie nothing else seemed to grab me so that takes 10% off.
So in the end its a normal documentary revealing shocking things but there is isn't nothing much that grabs your attention in the film. The final grade is 60%.
