Review of Bowling for Columbine (2002) by Julian L — 12 Jul 2012
I'm not usually a fan of Michael Moore, but "Bowling for Columbine is a mostly poignantly directed, moving documentary. The montages were effectively organized, the interviews were pointed. If the I say 'mostly' because the brief history of the United States segment was unbelievably crude, sweeping, offensive, and downright inaccurate, and Moore steps wildly out of the films tone in his criticisms of corporate America and US foreign policy.
Nonetheless, Moore produced in 'Bowling' a very potent snapshot of America in the last few decades of the 20th, and the first of the 21st. Watch with reservations.
