Review of Bowfinger (1999) by Edwin K — 30 Aug 2007
I haven't laughed like this in a while. Movies like this make me realize that I have once loved the genre called Comedy. It has a very interesting plot and a brilliant, an Oscar worthy performance from Eddie Murphy (didn't eve get nominated because he wasn't playing a "slave") who pulls off a variety of range from playing two characters in the movie, Kit and Jiff.
He reminds us that he hasn't lost a tiny bit of comic touch it's just that he prefers money over comedy (ex. Pluto Nash). But let me tell you something, when he gets a right script and a right people to work with he is untouchable.
His performance as a likable nerd, Jiff, is definitely one of the best characters he has created.
