Review of Bound for Glory (1976) by Ed M — 05 Jun 2007
David Carradine embraces Woody Guthrie note for note under Hal Ashby's beautiful, laid-back direction. The first major use of the Steadi-Cam was in Bound for Glory...and it sucks the audience right into the situation of the migrant workers.
A bit slow in parts, this film truly evokes the period of its setting.
