Review of Bound (1996) by Sumit D — 28 May 2008
Stylish neo noir thriller from the Wachowskis. The film has a slow build but the tension really picks up in the 2nd act and genuinely leaves you unsure as to how it will play out. The cast is good especially Jennifer Tilly as the breathy gangster moll and the film is full of inventive and stylish camera work, courtesy of the great Bill Pope, foreshadowing the brothersâ?? later ground breaking visuals on the Matrix.
