Review of Bound (1996) by Pratyay B — 25 Dec 2010
A decent thriller..it showed nothing new but it kept my attention at least. I liked the last hour or so the best. The direction is good. The twists and turns were good. As I was watching it, I kept being reminded of Tarantino, Must have been the intense violence.
Though I wish the film had a little more meat, maybe if the character's were more interesting or if I cared more for the central love story. It lacked some real passion between the two character's that we see in other noirs or neo-noirs.
I was also hoping for a better ending or maybe this is a more 'satisfying' ending for most viewers..I suppose so. Joe Pantoliano is amazing, he really captured that intensity really well...Jennifer Tilly is annoying as always, her voice! LOL.
..Gina Gershon is decent enough. Overall..a good watch. It's worth a look.
