Review of Bound (1996) by Amjad A — 22 Apr 2013

Spectacular. This is cinema...... Jennifer Tilly may not be a talented actress, but this film is perhaps the greatest performance of her limited career. A 90 minute roller-coaster ride which features lesbians, gangsters, multiple betrayals and many shocking twists and turns throughout.

It's practically a film about self identification and discovery. The script is incredibly sharp and brilliant. It's amazingly shot and acted as well. The entire cast deliver great performances.

I would recommend this film highly for anybody who appreciates original and stylishly done "good movies". It doesn't take itself very seriously and often at times parodises itself, whilst maintaining a level of suspense and realism.
