Review of Boulevard (2014) by Ken S — 10 Dec 2015
Decent, but predictable, drama featuring the final onscreen performance of Robin Williams about a closeted and married middle aged man who finally comes to terms with his homosexuality. The performances from the cast hold up what is a pretty standard run of the mill script.
Nothing surprising really happens. There isn't anything you haven't seen before, even if I like the subject matter at the basis of this, the script doesn't do anything new with it. But the cast is great, in particular Williams, who just nails it.
Not a bad final on-screen performance to leave the world with...for even in a rather run of the mill drama Williams gives his all.
