Review of Bottle Shock (2008) by Lindsey J — 23 Mar 2009
This was a nice way to spend a couple of hours, beautifully shot with some good performances, notably from Freddy Rodriguez and Alan Rickman. The film tried to do a bit too much and seemed to have some unnecessary padding in the form of a romantic sub-plot which seemed extraneous to the story.
Chris Pine wore a diabolical wig and I truly hope he sharpened up his acting skills by the time he took the helm of the Starship Enterprise! Would've liked to have seen more of Eliza Dushku and less of Chris Pine, and much less of the intrusive soundtrack.
But, there were some endearing and laugh-out-loud funny moments which made this a charming little film.
