Review of Bottle Shock (2008) by Caleb M — 19 Jul 2009
A delightfully upbeat, sunny film. This true story is well acted and filled with gorgeous images of Californian vineyards. The cast is excellent as well; from Alan Rickman as a French Wine snob, to Freddy Rodriguez as a young wine epert, to Chris Pine as a rebellious young stud and Bill Pullman (!) as his struggling father. This film is a pleasurable true story about people doing what they love.
There is also a truly entertaining riff on a classic gag from It Happened One Night.
