This movie sounded interesting but surprisingly drags and is very slow moving. The story would have been better minus the love story and the bond between the son and father. Pullman is good in most movies but in this one he is just okay.
Rickman is pretty good and keeps this movie entertaining but for the most part it is a snoozefest. Sad but true and could have been done a lot better. No wonder it went straight to DVD.
