Review of Bottle Rocket (1996) by Hiro P — 08 Jul 2008
Small, well-kept film; bearing the mark of early Wes Anderson. Anderson is one of my favorite modern directors, and watching his early stuff is pretty exciting. The corkiness is there, the well restrained humor, and the unpredictability of the characters, are things that make any Anderson film seem consistently fresh and entertaining.
(I mean, c'mon, the little banana kicks ass. lol).
