Ok film nerds, let's make up our minds about Wes Anderson. First it was cool to like his movies, now its not, but there's still some grey area. Just look at this simple little movie, before his overworked "style" took over Anderson's films.
You can see flashes of his famous visual style starting to take form here. But the scrappy nature of it, and the final robbery scene, make this an indie classic.
