Review of Bottle Rocket (1996) by Thom M — 31 Dec 2011
A great first effort by my favorite director. Perhaps Anderson's most "real" story, before he found his outer-worldly introverted character styles that he's famous for today. The two disillusioned Wilson brothers pull off one of their better films in this very warm story of aspirations and childlike enchantment of adventure.
And what ever happened to Musgrave? A fine starting off point for Wes Anderson , Bottle Rocket may just inspire you to rob your parent's house and take a journey on the open road.
