Review of Bottle Rocket (1996) by Nathaniel M — 04 Jan 2013
Charming, yet amateurish. Lacks the visual flair that would later come to help set Wes Anderson a part. Certainly, far better than your average indie film. It is lighter on what makes him good, heavier on what can be annoying about him.
Even still, at this early stage, some of his trademarks show up. The scene where they are all shooting guns is a personal favorite.
