Review of Bottle Rocket (1996) by Matt — 05 May 2009
This was the first film Wes Anderson Directed, and I must say he really struck a chord with this one. Anderson has a talent for making an interesting and enjoyable character study of his stories. You can tell he was testing alot of directing and story telling methods with this film, which have evolved from this film to create other works of art like "Rushmore", "The Darjeeling Limited", and to a lesser extent "The Royal Tenenbaums".
The film is a story of three friends that just want a slice of adventur but, clash with each others personalities, and destiny to get it. One of my favorite Wes Anderson film, definitely a film worth looking at.
