Review of Bottle Rocket (1996) by Kevin V — 06 Jun 2009

Amusing yet plodding comedy about 3 simpleton friends that is amusing in parts, but left it's true potential to the end in a 10 min hilarious final robbery scene. Yet it drags some to get us there, and I discovered why Owen Wilson and Luke Wilson are not a good combo in the same movie, since their dry wit is fine when paired with an energetic partner like a Vince Vaughn, but brought together can drag down even the funniest joke.

Fortunately, the movie clocks in at only 90 minutes and it's amusing enough with a nice finish, so I still recommend the movie overall.
