Review of Born to Be Wild (2011) by Calvin C — 23 Apr 2011
Whenever Morgan Freeman narrates something, he always has our attention. Those who want to will learn a lot about how similiar orangutans and elephants are to humans. Majority of the audience afterward only talked about how cute all the babies were and the whole 40-minute film is an "Awww" fest. There are important issues about conservation and keeping the cycle of life intact. These people do an amazing job saving and raising these animals. As a whole though, it didn't have that "epicness" which would have made it a great IMAX film. It was more an observation than an exploration. If it wasn't in 3D, this could have easily have been something I could watch on the Discovery Channel.
Grade: B.
