Review of Born Rich (2003) by Aubrie A — 15 Apr 2018
I found this film very satisfying. The young adults all have a very different perception of their status or place in society. Each of them has an obscene amount of wealth brought by their family, and as much privilege to do as they please but have the same pressures and struggles as any normal person would.
Everyone has to make something of themselves but living up to their families expectations or trying to surpass that could ultimately make things worse for these young men and women. Having these types of pressures make some of them thoughtful such as Ivanka Trump, Josiah Hornblower, and Johnson.
They realize the wealth and power they have over many people, but for some of them it means becoming shallow and not capable of serious thought. Many of these young adults did not know the amount of money they inherited or had from they family and found out from the outside world.
Each person dealt with it differently, causing them to have a wide variety of perspective on their lifestyle. This film overall in my opinion is a success to show how people that grew up in wealth never have to worry about regular people things and how it is handled by each individual.
